Become a Professional Dive Instructor!
Take your passion for diving to the next level with the SSI Assistant Instructor + Instructor Training Course (AI + ITC) — a comprehensive program designed to develop confident, knowledgeable, and skilled dive professionals ready to teach and inspire others.
This combined course is the gateway to becoming an SSI Open Water Instructor, allowing you to start teaching and certifying divers independently.
Course Overview:
The AI + ITC program is structured in two progressive phases:
* Assistant Instructor (AI):
Learn the core principles of teaching scuba theory and confined water skills. As an Assistant Instructor, you'll be able to assist certified instructors in training sessions and even teach certain programs independently, such as Scuba Skills Update and Try Scuba (in pool/confined water).
* Instructor Training Course (ITC):
Build upon your AI foundation with advanced teaching techniques, classroom presentation skills, and open water leadership development. This course prepares you for the final step: the Instructor Evaluation (IE) — a standardized exam that, once passed, certifies you as an SSI Open Water Instructor.
